Ezdorf, a prisoner in a monastery by the supervision of the British army, promised to Steed to escape and to kill him. He succeeds with the first promise by the help of a drink which is an extract of the skin of chamelions, what causes him to be invisible. He doesn't succeed with the second promise because Steed will shot him.
