Steed had a healthy respect for X41, the enemy agent codenamed Scapina, and at last it appears that he has made a mistake. The New Avengers are waiting as their Canadian contact parachutes in to reveal Scapina's identity. The man is shot down, however, and all they find is a blurred photograph of a man leaving a large building, his face unrecognisable. Steed is contacted by Karavitch, a Russian agent who informs him that he will hand over Scapina's identity for one million dollars. The rendezvous , Tornto, Canada.
