Season 2 06 Trap Writer: Brian Clemens 14 October 1977 US transmission 2 March 1979 Willie, one of Steed's field agents follows the trace of a big case and during this mission he is shot and when Purdey and Gambit find him his last words are: "Williams...drug drop...Wednesday...Windsor." The New Avengers, together with Marty Brine, a CIA agent, are waiting when the drugs are delivered. During the resulting chase Brine is shot and the assassin falls to his death, the ten-million-pound packet of drugs lying at his feet.
