Season 1 02 House of cards Writer: Brian Clemens 29 October 1976 US transmission 20 October 1978  A Russian defector, professor Vasil, is about to be returned to his homeland at gunoint by fellow countryman and master-spy perov. There is a sudden burst of confusion when a group of screaming pop fans, led by Purdey, stampede through the airport lounge in pursuit of their idol, Mike Gambit, masquerading as a pop star. During this confusion, Vasil is led to safety by John Steed.
