Steed investigates the suicide of a cypher clerk, Trevelyan. Venus, taking photographs in a funfair, has her camera and films stolen by Betty, a girl who works at the café there. One roll of film, however, is not stolen and when developed it shows Trevelyan's face reflected in the Hall of Mirrors. But the film was taken after the clerk's death!
